Taking the lead in a groundbreaking innovation, Helium Health is bringing digital technology to the African healthcare system.
Founded in 2006 by Nigerian Entrepreneurs, Adegoke Olubisi, Tito Ovia, and Dimeji Sofowora, this healthcare technology company has been using their flagship Electronic Medical Records/Hospital Management Information System (EMR/HMIS) product to strengthen healthcare systems in Africa –from Hospitals, Outpatient Clinics and Teaching Hospitals, to Government Sectors and Donor Agencies.
The EMR/HMIS product has the data of over 500,000 patients across the West African region, and is used by over 5,000 doctors. The use of the product is to ensure that patients take control of their health with support from telemedicine by verified doctors, with the sole aim of better healthcare.
They are on a mission to complete the transition of Africa into a continent with technology and data enabled healthcare, while providing full-service solutions that are more affordable and efficient for all patients.
Their mission has been fueled by funding from investors including WTI, Venturesouq, Tencent, and Greenhouse Capital
In May 2020, Helium Health raised $10million in a Series A round, led by Global Ventures and Asia Africa Investment & Consulting (AAIC), as investment for the expansion of their products, features, and services.
Helium Health is currently the top healthcare technology provider and has the largest electronic medical records in West Africa –a truly amazing feat!
