HOW TO MANAGE YOUR TIME

Time management is an important part of living a fulfilled life as an adult or young adult. Without proper time management, you may end up flailing around or being stressed/tired at every time.

So, how do you manage your time and get the best results for productivity?

Check it out!

  1. Create a time audit

Have a system for being accountable for how much time you spend on something and how much time you ought to spend. This way, you can easily identify your faults and biggest time-spenders, in order to adjust as need be.

  1. Plan ahead

The next step is to plan ahead and create a consciousness before each task and activity. This helps you to have an effective schedule and maximize your time as best as you can. Planning ahead also gives you the opportunity to think through any obvious obstacles or delays that you may encounter, and adequately plan for those too!

  1. Set a time limit for each task

Never do too much or too little. If you spend too much time on something, you may end up rushing through the next. If you spend too little time on something, you may end up having to re-do the task. Instead, set a near-perfect time limit for each task. Remember to give some leeway time for minor distractions or unforeseen events.

  1. Use a to-do list

A checklist is inarguably the best way to get things done, as they should be. While planning helps you to get the mental breakdown, having a to-do list itemizes each task and project. This list is what will then help you when you get to those crossroads of ‘what am I supposed to be doing right now?’

Also, a to-do list allows you to celebrate minor accomplishments like your progress for the day!

  1. Take breaks between tasks

The most important part of time management is knowing when to stop! Taking breaks to simply relax and catch your breath is as important, if not more than, having a plan. So, remember to schedule breaks between your tasks. This way, you don’t burn out early and you can maximize your energy in the best possible way!

Remember to PACE YOURSELF, and always STAY CALM!

Your time is yours, after all!
