Job Title: Medical Advisor

Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:

Provide a comprehensive medical assessment for all registered clients either virtually (Video Conference), over the telephone or in person; and then discuss Outpatient Management Plans with Senior Medical Advisers.
Provide a 24/7 on-call telephone referral service
Develop a Case Management Plan for patients requiring In-Patient care
Refer clients and liaise with our network of healthcare providers (Diagnostic Centres, Hospitals, etc) and Payers (Insurance Companies)
Supervise In-Patient Case Management Plans and Out-Patient follow-up services
Write and submit Clinical Encounter Notes, Referral Letters and Discharge Summaries to document clinical episodes and the client (patient) journey
Project Organisation and Management:

Research, draft and produce project output deliverables including Business Plans, Investment Memoranda, Training Curricula and Process Manuals based on specific requests from clients.
Manage administrative aspects of Vesta project work through collation and compiling information required for reports, preparation and production of reports, direction in conducting library and internet-based research and production of PowerPoint presentations
Plan and organize Project functions including liaison with Vesta employees (internally), clients, suppliers, Consultants and other stakeholders (externally) as appropriate
Manage clients, establish and strengthen client relationships with a focus on excellence
Organize Project Team meetings and teleconferences; attend and prepare meeting minutes, agendas and relevant paperwork; ensure documents are distributed in a timely fashion; ensure issues and risks are escalated promptly.

Requirements
Required Skills:

Primary Medical Qualification (MBBS, MBChB)
Postgraduate Academic Qualification (MSc, MPH, MBA, etc)
MDCN registration with License to Practice
Minimum of 4 – 5 years post-NYSC experience
Knowledge and understanding of healthcare system in Lagos
Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when required
Postgraduate Professional Qualification (MRCP, FRCS, MRCGP, etc)
Higher Academic Qualifications (PhD, etc)
