Responsibilities
Draping of Proposed Designs
Sketching of designs and its details.
Research and create New Design using various fabrics
Research for trims & Accessories to fit proposed designs
Ensure to ascertain availability of raw materials to use for each specific design created
Efficient in picking fabrics, colors, combinations and designs for production.
Creative usage of fabric left overs to reduce wastage.
Liaise with raw material and external vendors on accessories to be created for outfits produced.
Has a vast experience of different fabrics and their special intricacies as it applies to designing most especially for female wear (male wear is an added advantage).
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND qualification
1-3 years of experience in a similar role
Superior knowledge of fashion design principles
Excellent creativity with a good sense of fashion and style
In-depth knowledge of garment technology
Ability to create, cut and sew-up patterns
Proficiency in computer-aided fashion design applications and digital visualization tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
