How To Find Customers

There are a number of options available for you to find potential customers;

You can choose to work online by using your website or social media; Instagram, Whatsapp, Twitter, Facebook etc. to generate interests and let customers come directly to you or you can choose to be proactive by actively searching for customers via the following steps:

Step 1: Generate Leads – Leads are a list of potential customers that may be interested in a service, you can use the following methods to generate leads

  1. Search job listing sites for companies recruiting: Websites such as www.studenthubng.com, www.jobberman.com, Google jobs, Hotnigerianjobs and more list new jobs everyday, this is your first stop in generating leads
  2. Search social media: Use social media such as Facebook Jobs, LinkedIn, Instagram to find companies recruiting
  3. Network: Build relationships with business owners and employees

Step 2: Contact Leads

Now that you have a list of potential customers, the next step is to reach out to them. This can be done via the following options;

  1. Send an email; You can send a marketing email to the key contact you found to pitch the service, ensure you add your contact details
  2. Cold Call: A quick phone call has proven to be a more effective tool when contacting leads
  3. Visit: You can visit the office directly

General Advice:

1. CHOOSE A NICHE INDUSTRY: Choosing the right industry to focus on will help you narrow down your target audience. For instance; if your selected industry is retail, your audience search will be focused on retailers, building relationship with retail business owners and workers will help you earn more

2. EVALUATE MARKET DEMAND: This will help to identify positions that your selected industry usually recruit for and from this you can start marketing products that will serve their demands

3. SELECT YOUR MARKETING METHOD: You can use the following; websites, blogs, social media or a marketplace such as Jiji.
