#MCM – KELECHI AMADI-OBI

Capturing the world through his lens, our MCM this week is the amazingly talented photographer, painter, artist, and publisher –Kelechi Amadi-Obi.

His creativity has surpassed the national borders, earning him international recognition as a renowned photographer and creative talent. This legend didn’t, however, start his career in the world of art as he was actually called to bar as a lawyer in 1993. Passion won over and he began his path to iconic status.

For over two decades, Kelechi Amadi-Obi has amassed the experience and knowledge, combined with talent, to set him apart as a top photographer in Nigeria, with footprints on the world at large.

His portfolio includes photographing some of the biggest celebrities in the country, as well as notable figures, including past presidents.

Kelechi Amadi-Obi is exceptionally known for his work in fashion photography and, in 2010, he launched the first international-standard glossy fashion magazine in Nigeria –Mania. He has worked with leading Ad agencies such as SO&U, PrimaGarnet Ogilvy, and InsightGrey. He has also done shoots for corporate giants like PZ Nigeria Plc, Nigerian Flour Mills British American Tobacco, Guinness Nigeria Plc, and MTN Nigeria Plc.

He has held exhibitions of his work, both home and abroad. In 2004, Amadi-Obi won the prestigious St.Moritz Style Award for Photography.

We respect a legendary photographer, paving the way for generations after him!

Cheers to the iconic Kelechi Amadi-Obi!
