#WCW – Temie Giwa-Tubosun

Our WCW for this week, Temie Giwa-Tubosun, is changing the world and impacting the African healthcare system, one pint at a time.

Founder and CEO of LifeBank, Temie is a health-tech innovator who is taking the world by storm. She started LifeBank, a platform that orchestrates fast, secure, and reliable delivery of blood to patients and hospitals through professional dispatch riders, boats, and drones. The Lagos-based blood and oxygen logistics company is registered with blood banks that connect the platform to hospitals and patients in need of urgent blood supply.

Temie’s work through LifeBank has gained international recognition as the company spread its services to Ethiopia and other parts of the continent where blood supply is an issue.

In 2014, Temie was named one of BBC’s 100 Women and in 2016, Mark Zuckerberg highlighted her as one of the most inspiring entrepreneurs he met. Temie has been featured as a TEDx speaker and she walked away with $250,000 cash prize from the Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative (ANPI), started by Chinese investor Jack Ma.

Temie Tiwa-Gubson is saving lives on a daily basis –we celebrate her!
